Selling directly to your customers

What are the advantages of selling directly?

  1. Money - selling directly means you make far more money than selling through a 3rd party. Typically at least double what you'd make selling through iTUNES or one of our competitors.
  2. Control - selling directly puts you in control of the relationship with your customer. The closer to your customer you are the more power you have - ask any farmer selling to Wall Mart how much she'd like to sell directly to her customers.
  3. Time - selling directly means you can start to give fans what they want, when they want. Once something is recorded (live or in the studio) you should be offering it for sale immediately. 6 weeks to get a piece of media on iTUNES is 5 weeks, 6 days, 23 hours and 59 minutes too long!

If you can encode, upload, price, make chart eligible, account to copyright societies, create mobile content, deliver physical products (anywhere in the world) and make five times the money.... why wouldn't you?
